Our story

The story

From one peanut to one hectare.

Going Nuts is the first peanut butter from Dutch soil. We grow our own peanuts in Kessel, North Limburg, and process them into peanut butter and snack peanuts. 100% peanut, nothing else.

The beginning, 2021

2021 · The beginning

Why does the peanut grow everywhere except here?

Everyone said it couldn't be done here: too cold, too wet, wrong soil. So I planted a few myself, just to find out.

The first harvest

The first harvest

The proof was small.

That first harvest was tiny. But it showed what nobody thought was possible: peanuts can grow on Dutch soil.

The field in Kessel today

Five years later

From one peanut to one hectare

In Kessel, North Limburg, there's now a full hectare field. I brought four peanut varieties to the Netherlands and tested which ones thrive here, and learned from growers on the other side of the world where the peanut has been grown for generations. Every harvest I understand the plant a little better.

100% peanut

Going Nuts: peanut butter from our own soil

100% peanut, grown and processed on home soil. No detours, no middlemen. Just honest peanut butter and snack peanuts from Dutch soil.

From seed to jar

Other peanut butter comes from imported peanuts, processed by a brand that doesn't grow its own. Going Nuts stands on both ends of the chain: grower and brand. From the seed in Kessel to the jar on the table.

100% peanut. 0% nonsense.

“We're not there yet. But that's exactly what pioneering is: doing what nobody's done before, and not stopping until it works.”
